Critics’ Choice indica Westworld, This is Us e Stranger Things! Veja todos os indicados!
A cada ano fico cada vez mais feliz com as escolhas do Critics’ Choice Awards, premiação que reúne as indicações dos críticos televisos norte-americanos, profissionais que, diferente dos votantes do Emmy e Globo de Ouro, efetivamente assistem todos os episódios das séries e fazem suas escolhas com base na temporada inteira e não em submissões específicas (episódios isolados ou cenas icônicas).
Isso resulta em indicações justas – ainda que com sentidas faltas que são inevitáveis em premiações, já que a quantidade de indicados é limitada – e que refletem em séries, atores e atrizes que realmente merecem a nomeação, assim como em novidades. É muito bom ver This is Us, a melhor estreia da Fall Season, indicada. O mesmo vale para as novatas – e excelentes – Westworld e Stranger Things. É esse tipo de “sangue novo” que precisamos nas listas batidas das premiações tradicionais. Até mesmo Son of Zorn ganhou uma menção. A premiação não é semestral (se fosse, como Better Call Saul entraria?). O que acontece é que o Critics era transmitido na mesma época que o Emmy, e utilizava o mesmo período de elegibilidade. Ano passado, contudo, eles decidiram unificar os prêmios de TV e Cinema. Com isso, o período de avaliação da TV passou a ser de janeiro a dezembro, e não maio-junho, como o Emmy. Pra arrumar o calendário, eles fizeram duas cerimônias em 2015 (uma no meio do ano e outra no final, pegando só as séries daquele segundo semestre). Em 2016 o calendário se acerta e todas as séries de 2016 entram. Abraço!
